What is Jitsi?
Jitsi Meet is an open-source video conferencing solution that runs in the browser. Guests join by link without account or installation. Besides video and audio Jitsi offers screen sharing, chat, raised hands and recording.

- Internal meetings and team sessions.
- Customer appointments where guests join without an account.
- Video conferencing on your own infrastructure, for example in a German data centre.
- Integration into existing platforms such as Nextcloud.
Benefits and limits
Jitsi is quickly ready, uncomplicated for guests and can be operated under your own control. The number of participants depends on server, bandwidth and configuration, and operation needs maintenance. For teaching and webinars with many functions, BigBlueButton is often the better choice.
